Why Choose the Allagash River Adventure?

The Allagash holds special distinction as Maine’s only designated Wild and Scenic River. Because of this protective status, you can paddle for days without encountering modern civilization. Indeed, it delivers a true off-the-grid wilderness escape.

Furthermore, this trip is officially recognized as the best Maine trip for spotting moose! You will also enjoy a great mix of river sections and scenic open waters. First, you will navigate easy-flowing river stretches. Then, you will tackle the moderate whitewater of Chase Stream Rapids.
