Initially, our journey begins on the coast. The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. & Museum hosts a special celebration. Additionally, they will feature Bridgton & Saco River Railroad engine #7. This is a 1913 coal-fired Baldwin engine. In fact, it is a true beauty of engineering.

The Action Continues in Alna
Meanwhile, the excitement moves inland to Alna. The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum has planned a special photo charter. This event takes place on May 9 at 3:00pm. Subsequently, it will feature the legendary Monson Railroad steam engine #3.
In addition, this is a 1913-built Vulcan locomotive. It belongs to Maine Narrow Gauge but currently resides in Alna. Significantly, it recently returned to Maine from Massachusetts. We are thrilled to see it run again in the Pine Tree State.
Concurrently, they will pair engine #3 with another classic. They will use steam engine #9 to add capacity. Moreover, this is an 1891-built Portland Company engine. It has a rich history on several Maine lines. For instance, it once served the Sandy River and the Kennebec Central. It also served the historic WW&F lines.
