Mount Kineo State Park

Mount Kineo State Park: An 800-acre peninsula accessible only by boat, rising 700 feet vertically from the heart of Moosehead Lake. Famous for its massive cliffs made of rare “Kineo Flint” (rhyolite), the park is a sacred site of indigenous history and a premier hiking destination. Visitors can explore the 360-degree observation tower, hike the white-knuckle Indian Trail, and enjoy the historic 9-hole golf course nestled at the base of the cliffs.
