Driving Directions to the Fairgrounds
Getting to the fairgrounds is very simple. We have provided easy driving directions for your trip.
Driving From 95 North
Are you traveling from the south up 95 North? First, take exit 133 for Waterville and Skowhegan. Next, merge onto Route 201 North toward Skowhegan. Drive straight until you reach the traffic light in town.
Then, turn right at the light to enter town. Follow the road around the rotary of buildings. After that, take a quick right turn. Drive for about one mile.
Finally, you will see the entrance on your left. It is located right next to Walmart.
Driving From 95 South
Are you driving down from the north on 95 South? First, take exit 157 for Newport and Skowhegan. Then, turn slight right onto Route 100 and Route 11 North.
After that, take a sharp left onto Main Street and Route 2 South. Follow Route 2 directly into Skowhegan. Go through the rotary of buildings carefully.
Next, turn right onto Madison Avenue. Drive for about one mile. You will see the entrance on your left, next to Walmart.

Sourdough 101 with Jim Amaral
Would you like to master naturally leavened bread? Baker Jim Amaral hosts an introductory workshop. The registration fee is only $20.
First, Jim teaches you the basics of starter maintenance. He shows you how to mix and shape your dough. Next, he discusses the science of fermentation.
Jim also demonstrates innovative bread ovens by Lodge. You will learn to achieve professional crusts at home. Thus, you can bake beautiful loaves in your own kitchen.
Handmade Pasta with Chef Kerry Altiero
Perhaps you prefer fresh noodles over loaves. You can join Chef Kerry Altiero for pasta making. Kerry is the famous author of Adventures in Comfort Food. This hands-on workshop also costs $20.
In this class, you will celebrate the art of handmade noodles. Kerry guides you through every step of the process. Consequently, you will leave with the skills to make perfect pasta.
Focaccia Art with Teri Culletto
Do you want to turn your bread into a canvas? Teri Culletto is known as The Vineyard Baker. She is the author of Beautiful Bread.
Teri hosts a creative focaccia art workshop. The class fee is $20.
First, she explains her creative design process. Next, you will decorate your own focaccia. Fresh farm ingredients are provided for everyone. Finally, you will take home a delicious, edible masterpiece.
Live Music Schedule
Great music makes every festival better. This year features three fantastic musical acts.
Some Reel People (9:00am – 11:00am)
This traditional country dance band comes from Dexter. They perform lively jigs, reels, and waltzes.
Their unique sound includes fiddles, guitars, and mandolins. They also use banjos, cellos, and accordions. Naturally, this cheerful music will make you want to dance.
The Fossils (11:00am – 1:00pm)
Next, The Fossils take the stage. They celebrate the favorite songs of their childhood. Their lively performance highlights unique musical cultures. You will surely sing along to these classic tunes.
The Court Jesters (1:00pm – 3:00pm)
The final act features Tina Charest and John Hasnip. They are known as The Court Jesters.
These musicians blend gorgeous vocal harmonies. They also feature fantastic guitar work and dynamic percussion. Together, they create a very tight rhythm section.
