Are you ready to experience the crown jewel of the Maine Highlands? Mount Kineo is more than just a destination; it’s a journey through 11,000 years of history, rising 1,789 feet with dramatic 700-foot sheer cliffs that dominate the horizon of Moosehead Lake. Whether you are a dedicated hiker, a history buff, or a golfer looking for the most scenic tee-off in New England, the Kineo Shuttle is your gateway to it all.

Because there is no road access to the Mount Kineo peninsula, your adventure begins at the Rockwood Public Landing. The shuttle provides a comfortable and safe 10-minute ride across the lake, offering panoramic views of the “Kineo Flint” cliffs and the surrounding Northwoods.
